The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Center for Handicrafts (CRAA), promotes, as in previous years, a handicraft exhibition integrated in the program of the Festivities of Praia da Vitória, on the island of Terceira.
The “Açores Artesanal” of Praia da Vitória, which runs from August 2 to 11, aims to take advantage of a period of greater tourist flow to the island of Terceira to give visibility to the works of 27 handicraft production units of the Azores.
The exhibition will feature works of 27 artisans from Terceira, covering various areas, including miniatures, tin, jewelry, synthetic materials, embroidery, lace, home textiles, weaving, clothing accessories, leather goods, wood miniatures. , inlaid wood, rag dolls, fish scales and ceramics.
The exhibition will be installed in a tent set up at the Marina of Praia da Vitória.
With this exhibition, CRAA intends not only to promote regional handicrafts and artisans, but also to support the promotion and marketing of their products.
The “Açores Artesanal” of Praia da Vitória, which has the partnership of the City Council, has free admission and will be open to the public on Friday, August 2, from 1pm to midnight, and from August 3 to 11, from 7pm to midnight.
