The Regional Center for Handicrafts is aware that the information provided by citizens, particularly their personal data, lack adequate privacy protection.
The information provided by citizens on our websites is dealt with in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the freedom of movement (hereinafter referred to as GDPR).
All personal data provided by citizens through our websites are treated with the appropriate confidentiality, integrity and availability ensuring the best information security practices.
The personal data requested by our websites are intended to provide citizen services. These are provided by them freely and with the assumption of reading, understanding and acceptance of published terms and conditions.
The use of our websites must be carried out by the citizen in a conscious and informed way, obliging to comply with the applicable legislation in matters of computer crime and intellectual property rights. The citizen will be responsible for violating the regulations in actions that compromise the integrity of our systems or attempt to change information that may cause fraud.

Personal Information Collected
The Regional Center for Handicrafts requests and collects information from citizens’ personal data in a clear and objective way through their websites. No data are collected beyond what is strictly necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were provided to us. All personal data collected are preceded by information to the citizen and, if applicable, prior consent as provided for in Articles 6, 13 and 14 of the GDPR.

Treatment and Data Conservation
The Regional Center for Handicrafts is responsible for processing the data according to its legal basis. The data are kept only during the legally established period, and may change according to the public interest, historical, scientific or statistical reasons that justify it. Typology of Personal Data
The personal data subject to treatment by the Regional Center for Handicrafts at artesanato.azores.gov.pt site has the purpose (s) of providing one or several service (s) to promote and disseminate certified handicraft products. The Regional Center for Handicrafts is an executive service of the Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government of the Azores, which is responsible for the implementation of regional policy in the areas of development and appreciation of traditional products, namely regional handicrafts and handicraft production units, professional training and the coordination of multifunctional initiatives with development in the local environment. CRAA develops a consistent and diversified annual plan, working on four areas that are considered fundamental: Research / Certification, Training, Artisan Support and Promotion. The development of these areas involves certification of products, publications, organization of exhibitions, promotion of workshops and support to artisans, in particular through the incentive system, provided by it.
The personal data requested are: name, address, telephone numbers and email.

Violation of personal data
In the event of violation of personal data, the National Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or other data protection control authority that is legally constituted will be alerted in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.

Disclaimer of liability
The Regional Center for Handicrafts is not responsible for damages in civil liability arising from the incorrect use of the websites under its management. The use and access to the websites and their contents must be done through secure and conscientious computer systems. The websites of the Regional Center for Handicrafts are developed according to current technology. The use of discontinued technology or older browser versions may make it impossible to use the website.
Electronic websites may contain links to sites operated by third parties over which the Regional Center for Handicrafts has no control and for which it assumes no responsibility.
