The Regional Government, through the Regional Secretariat of Youth, Professional Qualification and Employment, determined the opening of candidacies to the Incentive System for the Development of Crafts of the Azores – SIDART for this year.
According to the order, already published in an official journal, the ongoing application phase runs until April 10, 2023.
Thus, under Sidart, continuous support for handicrafts such as training, qualification and innovation of the artisanal product, marketing, promotion, as well as investments in structures and production equipment of artisanal production units (UPA’s).
The budget allocation for the year 2023 was fixed in 200 thousand euros.
Applications, intended for artisans on the individual name, legal persons in any form or designation and associations of artisans, provided they are duly licensed and have the ‘artisan certification letter’, must be made exclusively online, at the site of Centro de Artesanato e Design dos Açores (CADA) on the internet, at www.artesanato.azores.gov.pt.
The Incentive System for the Development of Crafts of the Azores aims to promote the sustainable development of handcrafted activity through a set of measures that reinforce the quality of production and the competitiveness of the Azores artisanal companies.
