PRENDA – Azores Handicraft Festival is aimed at promoting and selling traditional and contemporary handicrafts from the Azores, presenting the public with a wide range of activities, from exhibitions, shows and workshops for different audiences.
This is an annual event, with the dual component of the market and workshops, contributing to the promotion and marketing of Azorean handicraft products, and which already has more than 40 thousand visits.
The first edition took place in December 2011 in Ponta Delgada, and since then it has covered more than 150 of the 600 artisanal production units registered with the Crafts and Design Center of the Azores. In a total of five editions, 30 workshops were held in various traditional and contemporary craft areas for different audiences, which encompassed more than 20,000 participants.
