The Regional Directorate for Culture, through the Museum of Horta and in partnership with the Regional Center for Handicrafts, promotes, from the 2nd to the 7th of November, at Casa Manuel de Arriaga, a wicker workshop.
Alcídio Andrade, a craftsman from the island of S. Miguel who has been carrying out various actions to promote this ancestral knowledge in the archipelago, will give this training in Horta.
The workshop, which lasts 28 hours and will take place after working hours, is free of charge.
All materials will be prepared by the trainer and provided to the participants, so that each one executes two to three pieces.
