The Regional Government, through the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Professional Qualification and Employment, determined the opening of two application phases to the Incentive System for the Development of Handicrafts of the Azores (SIDART) for the current year.
According to the order already published in the Official Journal, the first phase of application, aimed at participating in the Expo Açores Artesanato – Santo Cristo, takes place between the 2nd and the 9th of May 2022.
The second application phase takes place between May 13 and June 7, 2022.
Thus, under SIDART, in addition to the allocation intended for Expo Açores Artesanato, continuous support for handicrafts is ensured in areas such as training, qualification and innovation of the artisanal product, marketing, promotion, as well as investments in structures and production equipment of the Artisanal Production Units (UPA).
Applications, aimed at individual artisans, legal persons in any form or designation and artisan associations, provided that they are duly licensed and have the ‘artisan’s letter’, must be made exclusively online, on the website of Centro de Artesanato e Design of the Azores (CADA) on the Internet, at www.artesanato.azores.gov.pt.
The Incentive System for the Development of Handicrafts of the Azores aims to promote the sustainable development of artisanal activity within the regional economy, through a set of measures that reinforce the quality of production and the competitiveness of artisanal companies in the Azores.
