Ricardo Simas is the sole representative of traditional pottery from the island of Terceira that has continued this workshop or stall at S. Bento. He produces several typical pieces, namely the “Alcatra” bowl, awakening the cultural and tourist interest on a visit to this pottery.
He has participated in regional, national and international events, being invited, in the 2014 and 2015 editions, to create the plate used in the Festival 10 Fest Azores – 10 Days, 10 Chefs.
Pottery certified by the Brand “Artesanato dos Açores” (Handicrafts of the Azores), for the use of clay from the island of Santa Maria.
