Carolina Moreira, fashion designer, has been in contact with sewing since her childhood. She started to dedicate herself to this art in 2015, the year she launched her first project in fashion: SOJA-Handmade Clothing, a collection of around 20 pieces inspired by Indian culture. Over the years, she learned more and more, without ever giving up on her dream of launching a clothing brand in the Azores. In July 2018 she graduated in Fashion Design at the Lisbon School of Design, where she acquired the essential tools to make her dream come true. On her return to the Azores, in September 2018, she launched the LUS project, an environmentally friendly clothing brand that values the use of natural and ecological fabrics, the preservation of local crafts and the practice of fair trade. One of the brand’s main goals is to encourage more responsible and conscious consumption, countering the environmental impact of the conventional fashion industry. Currently, she continues to work on her project, being responsible for all its management and organization.
