Handicraft Cooperative Senhora da Encarnação opened in March 1991 and came above all to promote weaving works, typical of the island of São Jorge.
Besides being able to enjoy the live work in the loom, you’ll find a wide variety of weaving items of excellence.
This cooperative is also recognized by the works in Chilean Lace and Needle Lace.
It has a unique model of the “Biscoiteira” with lace and embroidery.
The embroidery and weaving are certified by the Brand “Artesanato dos Açores” (Handicraft of the Azores).
