Aida Bairos grew up watching her father doing works in wicker, but it was with her neighbor that she learned how to make the baskets named “condessa” (countess baskets). However, it was about 29 years ago that she started making the same baskets as her father, used mainly in agriculture but always looking to diversify her pieces, producing original and unique pieces of furniture that are the delight of those who see them and buy them. Aida Bairos created the “Oficina de Artesanato de Santa Maria” (Crafts Workshop of Santa Maria) that serves as workshop and sale point, having already several participations in fairs and exhibitions and taught workshops and trainings within the scope of CRAA.
