Biography:

An architect by training and teacher by vocation, Sónia Bárbara embraced later in her career her taste and talent for craftsmanship, being registered as an artisan at the Azores Crafts and Design Centre since 2015. Hats are the product that most differentiates the handicraft work of Sónia Bárbara, who created the brand "Sol e Brumas". Using a circular patchwork technique, the artisan creates products that are distinguished by the boldness in the combination of colors and shapes and the perfection of the finishes. Her work in patchwork is certified by the collective brand "Artesanato dos Açores".
