Biography:

Graduated in ceramics by the School of Artistic Technologies of Coimbra. The work of Maria Olaio reveals an unprecedented interaction with nature in the creation of ceramic pieces, her creative process being initiated with the use of clay of the island of Santa Maria in its pure state and the coloration carried out by the contamination of microorganisms present in the thermal springs of Furnas, in São Miguel.
