“Queijadas” of Graciosa

It is a regional sweet from Graciosa, famous throughout the archipelago. Of delicate flavor, star-shaped, the outside dough presents itself as thin and crispy and hosts a filling of eggs and milk. For some years this delicacy was exclusive to the homes of Graciosa, when it was still known as "covilhete de leite", a must in all festivities and family gatherings on the island.
