Biography:

Maria de Fátima Valadão has been interested in manual arts since a very young age, especially in lace and wool knitting, making clothing accessories, and a wide variety of knitted articles. She learned with her mother the whole production technique of the Boina de Lã do Corvo (Corvo Woolen Beret), watching her do it and reproducing her stitches step by step. Her Corvo Woolen Berets are certified with the collective brand of origin and quality "Artesanato dos Açores".
