Biography:

Born in the parish of Norte Grande, São Jorge island, António Pedroso is a multifaceted and self-taught artist. Painter, musician, ceramist, and caricaturist, in 2005 he opened a pottery and art studio in Velas, including ceramics and tiles, resuming this craft activity that had been extinct on the island for over a century. Since that date, several have been the works he has executed in tiles and ceramics, which can be contemplated in public and private spaces, a little throughout the island of São Jorge. António Pedroso's ceramic works are certified by the collective brand “Artesanato dos Açores”.
