Biography:

Casa do Portinho was born from an unwavering passion for the Azorean sea. Imagination, combined with the need to promote sustainable development in the fishing sector, was at the origin of the development of Casa do Portinho's products.
Its story took shape on the island of Terceira, at the end of 2016, in an old 19th-century house. This building, once equipped with a traditional chimney oven, is located by the sea, with a privileged view of the Portinho de São Guilherme. These elements — the house, the oven, the sea, and the small port — inspired the brand's name and logo, in homage to the place where, by happy coincidences of life, the project found its beginning and its path.
Based on Terceira Island, Casa do Portinho is the first brand to produce artisanal smoked fish in the Azores. We are a certified Artisanal Production Unit by the Regional Government of the Azores.
Aware that marine resources are finite, we orient our production to contribute to the diversification of fishing efforts and the sustainability of the sector in the region, as well as its marine ecosystems. Under the motto "innovating tradition," we seek differentiated and responsible production, combining artisanal practices with innovative processes. To this end, we have developed production methodologies adapted to our reality and maintained under rigorous surveillance, guaranteeing the safety and quality of our food.
Casa do Portinho products offer a contemporary and original interpretation of the aromas and flavors of traditional fish smoking, always using the best fish and the endemic local beech wood.
