Biography:

Sandra Ferraz is an artisan who develops her work around the traditional lapinha Christmas cribs, characteristic of the island of S. Miguel. This artisan creates her own figurines that are integrated in a panoply of natural elements, like flowers, little seashells and seeds, in contemporary compositions. The iconic stamp of this artisan is the floral arrangement composed of dried natural flowers and garishly painted fish scales.
