Biography:

Jacinta Teixeira began to weave at age of 11, heir of her mother's mastery. She has mastered various weaving techniques as “repasso”, “retalho” or “fios puxados”.

Nowadays she applies her knowledge in the elaboration of less traditional pieces, following the contemporary aesthetic tendencies and provides trainings, helping in this way the preservation and transmission of weaving.
