Biography:

Founded in the middle of the 19^th century, it belongs to the same family since then, the first Azorean ceramics factory, concentrates all the artisanal process in its facilities from the molding on the potter's wheel, the two cooking stages, the manual painting with the unmistakable decoration where the cobalt blue predominates on the popularly known “Louça da Lagoa”. Identity brand of the handicraft of S. Miguel, the Vieira ceramics factory gives prestige to the municipality of Lagoa, concentrating a strong pole of tourist attraction, congregating factory, shop and museum in the same space.
