Biography:

Cristina Borges was born in Angola but has settled in the Azores in 1977. As a child her dream was both to be a teacher and a craftswoman and for a long time she has had the privilege of being accomplished in the tow areas.

Amongst the craft areas that she masters are tile painting, crafts made out of fish scale, fabric painting and she also loves to reuse and give new live to objects that otherwise would been thrown away. If you wish to find her and her crafts, “O Quadradinho” – her place open to the public for already 30 years – is the place to find her art.
