The exhibition "Portuguese Artisanal Production: The Current Importance of Ancestral Know-How" is on display at the Arquipélago – Contemporary Arts Center in Ribeira Grande until October 12th.
This is an initiative of the Directorate-General for the Arts through the Saber Fazer Program, in collaboration with the Azores Crafts and Design Center (CADA) and the Arquipélago – Contemporary Arts Center.
This initiative highlights CADA's ongoing commitment to reinforcing the cultural value of the traditional arts and crafts of the Azores, reflecting the exhibition's very name: tradition remains relevant, never dissociating itself from the cultural identity of the people and territory, while simultaneously striving to transform these traditional arts into a sustainable and constantly recreating source of income.
