3 awards given to Azorean artisans at FIA.

The International Handicraft Fair (FIA) took place between June 27th and July 5th at Pavilion 1, Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, with the participation of 10 artisans registered with CADA.

In this exhibition, the artisans displayed works in figurative ceramics, corn leaf, fish scales, nativity scenes, ceramics, textiles, paper, costume jewellery, and regional food products, giving visibility to the certified products of the collective brand "Artesanato dos Açores", through 7 artisanal production units.

It is worth highlighting that this edition was marked by the recognition and appreciation of the works developed and submitted to the competition by the artisans from the Azores present at FIA, which only reinforces the constant improvement in the quality standards of our handicrafts. This validation resulted, this year, in the awarding of three prizes:

1st place – Contemporary Craftsmanship - Adolfo Mendonça Atelier
