Biography:

Mário Abreu, born in Coimbra in 1960, soon learned to enjoy manual work and developed a taste for building wooden boats of various types, mainly typical Portuguese boats, including the Whaling Boat. He currently lives in Ponta Delgada where whenever he can he dedicates several hours to the hobby he loves so much.
