Biography:

Aldevina Serpa is an artisan who is dedicated to the production of embroidery, lace and patchwork. She learned at the taxi drivers' Union school, in 1964. Out of her artisanal works stands out, the patchwork, best known on the island of Terceira as "crazy work". Her work is distinguished by the profusion of color, the richness of the fabrics and the abstract composition, thus imparting a very specific character to her products.
