The
Christmas edition of Expo Açores Artesanato returns to Pavilhão do Mar in Ponta
Delgada, on the island of São Miguel, from November 27th to December 1st.

With free
admission, this initiative of the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Housing and
Employment, through the Azores Crafts and Design Center (CADA), concludes the
annual cycle of local craft markets on different islands of the archipelago,
which begins with the Festivities of Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres in Ponta
Delgada.

This
edition of Expo Açores Artesanato – Christmas 2025 features the participation
of more than 80 Craft Production Units (UPAs) from the Region, who find in this
event an opportunity to market their products, including those certified by the
collective brand “Artesanato dos Açores”.

In addition
to promoting and selling artisanal products on display, this Christmas market
also includes daily workshops on techniques for making “Lapinha” Nativity Scenes,
Fabric Balls, Christmas Cards, Origami Stars, or even a "Christmas
Angel".

Musical
entertainment during the event will be provided by the Ilha Verde Folkloric
Group on Thursday, November 27th, at 8 pm; Passos de Bruma Folkloric Group on
the 28th, at 6:30 pm; Engengroaldenga on Saturday the 29th, at 8 pm; Duo Toadas
on Sunday the 30th, at 8 pm; and the Traditional Singing Group of Sta. Cruz on
Monday, December 1st, at 8 pm.

Expo Açores
Artesanato is the largest exhibition and commercial event for the handicraft
sector in the Azores and can be visited from 6 PM to 11 PM on November 27th and
28th, and from 2 PM to 11 PM on November 29th, 30th, and December 1st.
