Biography:

Adufes Rui Silva are born in 2013 and are the result of an extensive research work with traditional afufe players and artisans, namely from Idanha-a-Nova and from Paúl.

Adufes Rui Silva combine tradition and innovation in an unprecedented way, revolutionizing the performance of the adufe, contributing to its knowledge, preservation and promotion, as a traditional Portuguese percussion instrument, and it is already widespread in 21 countries.

Rui Silva is a musician and adufe craftsman. His adufes are handmade, with selected raw materials and using artisanal processes.
