Biography:

Isabelle Clerc lives in Pico since 2017, where she set up a small family workshop.

She learned in Lisbon some painting techniques of the traditional Azulejaria Portuguesa and she likes to work in figurative painting to tell stories through her tiles. She is inspired by Pico’s flora and fauna motifs like the octopus of Manhenha, the sperm whale of the Canal and the crab of Calhau.
