Biography:

From an early age he expressed an interest seeing how the figurines that his mother ordered from the bonecreiros of Lagoa were manufactured. He began to work with the bonecreiro master Arsénio Moniz from Santa Cruz. From then on, he began to produce his own figures for the “conventional” and the “lapinha” Christmas cribs. On his figurines are not lacking the characters of the Azorean folklore such as the pilgrims, the capote woman, the foliões of the Holy Spirit, as well as the miniatures of the traditional architecture.
