Creative Residency 2015 Catalog
The project Residências Criativas (Creative Residencies) of the Regional Center for Handicrafts focuses on the innovation of the artisanal product, through its reinterpretation and re-functionalization in a perspective of its valorization and adaptation to the current markets.
The 2015 residence was developed in partnership with the Department of Textile Engineering of the University of Minho and was held in the islands of Graciosa and Terceira, with artisans from these islands.
From this edition resulted a clothing collection with white embroidery, men’s and women’s fashion accessories with fish scales, wheat straw and basalt and pieces of furniture in wood, wicker and basalt.
