Creative Residency 2016 Catalog
The Creative Residences project of the Regional Center for Handicrafts focuses on the innovation of the artisanal product, through its reinterpretation and refunctionalization in a perspective of its appreciation and adaptation to the current markets.
The 2016 residence was developed in partnership with the fashion designer Sílvia Teixeira, who lives on the island of Terceira and took place on the islands of Pico and Faial, with artisans Ana Baptista from Faial, Alzira Neves, Conceição Neves and Arménio Goulart from Pico.
This edition resulted in a collection of clothing with the typical laces of Faial and Pico.
