Comptoir Helvétique, which takes place from September 13 to 22, is an international fair that welcomes around 200 exhibitors and receives 150,000 visitors, not only professionals and craft, arts and design lovers, but also interested in handicrafts as a cultural manifestation.

This edition, in which Portugal is the guest country, will be attended by two artisans from the Azores, namely João Pereira & Filhos, in the area of embroidery, and Adolfo Mendonça, in the ceramics area, both from the island of Terceira.

The participation in this event is part of the Craft & Art project, which aims to reposition the Azorean handicrafts, through the promotion of products with the brand Artesanato dos Açores, emphasizing the innovation and sustainability of handicraft products of the new generation of artisans.

The bet on the presence of regional companies in exhibitions such as this one that takes place in Switzerland aims at the approaching of new market segments, strengthening the entrepreneurial capacity and affirming the notoriety of the Azorean Handicrafts in the international scene for its differentiating identity and quality.
