Maria Mendes learned with her mother the art of lace making, executing since then pieces of lace with varied typologies. The knowledge acquired in the training “Berets of Corvo”, held by CRAA in 2012, gave her tools to start making the famous woolen berets, with and without a visor and always with the characteristic patterns. You can also find the same decorative grammar of the berets in other pieces such as, handbags and wallets.
